BYU v Notre Dame

This last weekend Jed and I got to take a fun day trip up to South Bend Indiana to see BYU play Notre Dame. It was a very long day what with driving up, checking out Notre Dame's campus, watching the game, and then driving home all in one day, but it was super fun. Notre Dame's campus was beautiful, the weather was great, and it was a good football game even if BYU couldn't manage a win in the end. I will admit that it was an uncomfortable day for this pregnant lady, but what can you do - I would have been uncomfortable sitting at home too, so I might as well do fun stuff while I still can. This next weekend we're taking our last pre-baby trip and going down to Georgia with some friends for, what else ... the BYU v Georgia Tech game. It should be a ton of fun!

In front of the famous golden dome

Here we are with touchdown Jesus

At the game! (Yeah are seats were super high, but Notre Dame isn't exactly known for their cheap tickets)

Wedding Weekend

Last weekend I was lucky enough to be able to go to Georgia and attend the wedding of my friend Sarah. After a flight down to Atlanta I drove to Savannah for the wedding with my good friend Beth, and luckily good friends always make long drives much more bearable. After a fun afternoon in Savannah with Beth, her brother Bob and his wife, and my friend Lindsey and her husband Peter it was wedding time!  The wedding was absolutely beautiful and it was so much fun to catch up with friends from high school that I hadn't seen in forever. After the wedding I was able to stay and visit with my parents in Atlanta for a couple of days, which is always a good time. Poor Jed was at home with a bad cold while I was enjoying Georgia - I guess that's what he gets for having that pesky job he has to go to.

Baby Crafts

People often ask what I do all day now that I'm graduated and done with the bar. And honestly the answer is not a whole lot right now, though I do seem to always fill up my day easily. I spend lots of time going on long walks and playing with Darwin, actually keeping the house clean and keeping up with the laundry (probably the first time this has happened since Jed and I have been married), and of course getting things ready and organized for the baby while also reading lots of baby and parenting books so I hopefully don't feel totally lost once the  baby gets here, and of course looking for part time work and applying for jobs. It's really a pretty good gig. Another thing I've been doing is working on some little baby projects. So far I have crocheted a blanket and made a bunch of cute little burp cloths. These weren't hard projects or anything but I'm not very practiced so they took me a long time and I'm quite proud that I actually finished them.

The blanket - the yellow seems a little girly but I started this before I knew what we were having (remember I'm slow) so I was going for something gender neutral.
The cute little birth cloths - I made two in each of these fabrics, supposedly you need a lot of these things :)
