Last week Jed and I took separate vacations - Jed went to Utah for a boy's camping trip with his Dad and brothers, and since he was going to be gone I decided to drive down to Atlanta to spend the week with my family.
Jed assures me that they had a great time tromping around the woods with his brothers, Dad, Grandpa, Uncle and cousins, but refused to provide any picture evidence to support his claim. Apparently you don't pose for a lot of pictures on all boy camping trips.
I also had a lovely time in Georgia. My littlest sister Danielle was there and my other sister Rochelle even managed to make it over from Alabama for a couple of days so we were all there together. We enjoyed shopping, hanging out, getting our nails done, watching movies and spending a day at the lake. As I type this I can see how incredibly stereotypical Jed and my vacations really were, but hey you do what works for you! Here's a couple of pictures from the beautiful day that we spent at the lake.
After my trip my mom drove back up to Cincinnati with me to help me pick out nursery furniture. We haven't actually ordered it yet (I know we need to hurry) but we found tons of great stuff - now the actual decisions just have to be made. One of these days I'll realize how quickly this baby coming is creeping up on us and get to work!

24 Weeks
August 16, 2012 - 24 Weeks
I had fun with my little survey last time so I decided to do a monthly pregnancy update - here it is!
How
far along? 24 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 13 pounds gained
Maternity clothes? Yep, though I’m still wearing regular pants with a belly band mostly because I don’t like the giant stretches of fabric maternity pants have over your stomach. Why does everyone think pregnant women want 5 layers of fabric over their middle?
Stretch marks? Nope (fingers crossed)
Sleep: Still going well.

Best
moment this week: People
are starting to recognize that I’m pregnant not chubby. I’ve now had two
strangers ask me when my due date is.
Movement: Yep - last week I finally felt the
baby move and he’s been all over the place ever since. Even Jed has felt him
kick.
Food cravings: I’ve been loving frozen yogurt, but really the biggest thing is that I’m just constantly hungry. Jed and I went out to dinner last night and I actually finished my entire meal which doesn’t sound crazy but I usually always come home with leftovers and my meal was pretty big.

Gender: Still a boy.
Labor Signs: Thank goodness no
Belly Button in or out? Still in, though it is getting pretty flat.

Wedding
rings on or off? On
What I miss: Having more than a handful of clothes to choose from every day.
What I am looking forward to: Cookie dough – I made some break and bake cookies this week and not being able to eat a cookie worth of dough was torture.

Milestones: We hit viability this week so baby no
name (as we affectionately call him) could now technically survive outside of
the womb though obviously he should hang out where he is for a lot longer.

Utah
Last week Jed and I were able to head out to Utah to visit Jed's family. We had a great time hanging out, eating good food, playing with our nieces, seeing Wicked, going to Seven Peaks Water Park, and of course watching the Olympics. Unfortunately we forgot our camera so the only picture I have is this one Jeanna (Jed's sister) sent me from the night we saw Wicked. Other than that you'll just have to imagine the great time we had.
As great as the trip was though we sure were glad to get home to our little Darwin. Seriously how could you not miss that adorable little face.
