Hello Jada

Yesterday the Kendall family welcomed a new little person into the world. Jed's sister Jeanna and her husband Colten had a baby girl they named Jada. This is Jed and my first niece and we are so excited! Unfortunately Jada lives in Utah which is a long way away so we won't get to meet her for a little while. We're hoping to get a trip planned soon to get acquainted with her or at least to convince her parents to take her to Cincinnati for a visit. Anyway, she's absolutely adorable from what we can tell from pictures. Here she is:

It's About Time

The first thing I thought of when I wrote that title were those church commercials - you know "family ... isn't it about time?" But that is not actually what I'm referring to. I'm also not referring to the fact that it's about time I updated this blog already. What I'm referring to is that spring is finally here! (and hopefully to stay) Today I didn't have to wear a jacket, it was sunny and beautiful, we were able to eat dinner out on the deck, and it still isn't completely dark outside and it's almost 8:30. Plus add in the fact that I'll can wear sandals soon, I can now wear dresses without having to add multiple layers of tights, and that I can study outside instead of in UC's incredibly ugly law library and I am one happy camper. HOWEVER (and that is a very big however) spring also means one of my absolute least favorite things is back ... bugs. I can think of very few people who like bugs, but I feel a particular distaste for the yicky creatures. Especially when they chose to come into my house and two have already made it inside this year. Looks like I'll be spraying some pesticides around the house this Saturday. Wish me luck!

(P.S. I am aware that I suck at blogging - feel free to insert the typical excuses here - and that I haven't put pictures on here in forever. I would say that I'll do better from now on but we both know that I'd be lying.)
